Is it necessary to use targets with the Artec Point 3D laser scanner?
Yes, Artec Point is a target-based 3D scanner, meaning users need to place targets on the object to achieve optimal results. After calibration, however, the workflow is similar to other Artec 3D scanners—simply capture and process the scan data in Artec Studio.
