Reusable Reference Point Target Net Makes It Easy and Quick For 3D Scanning Large Objects

Sticking and removing dots has never been so easy thanks to the AESUB Target Net with its magnetic targets! It’s reusable markers for medium to large-sized objects. The net unfolds and position the AESUB target net in less than 20 seconds. Scan in the usual manner and use standard post-processing routines to easily remove single elements and points of the AESUB target net in the post-processing. Remove the net in just seconds!

Benefits

  • Pre-arranged grid of markers saves setup time
  • Provides consistent, dense marker coverage
  • Reusable and portable—just drape or mount it near the object
  • Ideal for when quick setup and repeatability are needed

Technical Specifications

  • 300 dots arranged on a 1.50 x 2.00 m black mesh
  • Equipped with 6mm retro-reflective reference points
  • Quickly unfold the net and drape onto the scanned target in less than 20 seconds

The reusable AESUB Target Net makes scanning big objects quick and easy by eliminating the need to place individual markers.

What is AESUB Target Net?

The AESUB Target Net features measurement targets arranged in a uniform grid, spaced roughly 100 mm apart across its 1500 × 2500 mm surface. With around 300 targets in total, the high density allows for fast, accurate scans from multiple angles. The mesh threads themselves are either invisible to the 3D scanner or can be easily removed during post-processing.

Features

  • Retroreflective reference points for immediate application on medium-sized or large parts
  • A magnet on each point base that will hold onto magnetic surfaces
  • Diameter 6 mm (equipped with 6mm retro-reflective reference points)
  • Dots are mounted on a black mesh
  • Perfect for application on all vanishing AESUB sprays
  • Easy to transport
  • The reference points hover approximately 10mm above the surface

How to Use the AESUB Target Net

Using the Target Net is very simple in 4 easy steps:

Step 1

Unfold the Net

Step 2

Evenly place the magnetic targets across the large object

Step 3

Scan the object as usual

Step 4

Post-process the scans
